This and That
Summer’s in full swing now, and I spent this week juggling the boys’ schedules and driving them to their various activities. It’s the first time I’ve really felt like a mom taxi, but I’ve also realized how quickly they are growing up and developing their own interests and hobbies, too. We have a relaxing weekend planned with a few small Father’s Day celebrations, and last night, our neighbor gave us his house key and told us to swim in his pool and pick the vegetables from his garden while he’s away for the weekend. We are more than happy to oblige! Here are a few things that caught my attention this week.
An art installation in New York is causing a bit of a fuss. I love stuff like this!
Beautiful photos of people at the end of their lives.
Wildfire wedding photos. The first one reminds me of Gone With the Wind.
Bill Murray crashed an engagement photo shoot. That guy just pops up everywhere!
“In a Small Bag, She Packed All Our Hopes.” A love story.
It’s all or nothing when it comes to paying attention to your kids. I need to be better about this.
And Napoleon Dynamite turns 10! For the record, I’ve never seen Mean Girls.
Have a happy weekend and a wonderful Father’s Day!
Those wedding photos are beautiful. And you need to see Mean Girls! 🙂
I know I need to watch it! I just have to make the time. And I thought those photos were so pretty and a good way to remember their day.
Just saw Mean Girls recently, and it was pretty funny. But I think Napoleon Dynamite will always hold a place on my top 10 comedies list. <3
How nice of your neighbors! Pool + vegetable time sounds so right about now. 🙂
I will always LOVE Napoleon Dynamite! 🙂
I remember seeing that photo of the dad and his kids! I always have to laugh when Matt tells me about going out with M – apparently people fawn all over him for being out with her. Of course when I am grocery shopping or whatever, we get ignored.
That has been my experience, too! And Ryan always meets the most interesting people when he is out with the boys.
