This and That

(My dad recently took this picture of oak trees on the family farm. I can’t believe how green it is already.)
This week was really busy and went by so fast! My mom had knee surgery and we visited her in San Antonio, and we’re hoping to go down again on Saturday. We had a really strange windstorm that knocked out our power on Monday and caused chaos all over Austin. And, I finally set a date for a blog-related event I’m hosting, and I can’t wait to tell you about it soon! Here are a few things that caught my attention this week.
Speaking of the wind, my sister sent me this video and it is so well done.
This story of an exiled singer is quite touching and sad. Her music is lovely, too.
And, now that March has finally arrived, I’m taking the next big blogging step and working with a graphic designer to re-design my blog! I’m so excited about this chance, and I’m really looking forward to it. Check out this honest post from my designer, Kory Woodard. It’s something I’m thinking about lately as I decide which direction I’d like to go with writing.
Have a wonderful weekend!

That picture just gave me a really intense longing for spring, haha. We’re just on the cusp (which usually means March is full of everyone saying, “Oh, we’re going to get more snow, I know it!) and I am dying for warmth and green and leaves.
I know! He sent it to me last week and I had to use it. I think the farm got more rain than we did, because it’s not as green here yet.
Thanks for sharing my post, girl! Can’t wait to get started on designing with you! 🙂
No problem! It was so timely for me, too.
I love this picture…how BEAUTIFUL is that farm?! You’re lukcy to have it in the family!
