Finally Fall!

I did a little Fall decorating as soon as September arrived, but Texas weather can be slow to follow the seasons.  Finally, though, we are blessed with a bit of cooler weather and it’s starting to look a lot like Fall!

Last Saturday, we headed out to WildSeed Farms again to meet up with family and pick out some pumpkins.  And even though the day was overcast and threatening to rain, it was cool and windy, just perfect for enjoying the scenery.

(Rows and rows of pumpkins at WildSeed Farms.)

(Rhys picking a pumpkin. Just one of many that were handled that day.)

(James taking a break from exploring the farm.)

(A little bit of magic that landed on my sister’s hand.)

And once we were home, I had fun putting out our little treasures from our day trip.  I also gathered the boys’ discoveries from our frequent nature walks and displayed those, too.  It’s fun and easy to decorate with objects found literally outside your front door, and best of all, it’s free.

(A bowl of drying blooms from a grocery store bouquet.)

(A jar of leaves and acorns collected on our nature walks, with a few snail shells thrown in for good measure.)

(Some of our tiniest prizes from WildSeed Farms.)

(And the big pumpkins on our front porch.)
