This and That
This week really seemed to fly by and tonight is Halloween! The boys have been anxiously awaiting its arrival all month, and we’re looking forward to some trick-or-treating and a relaxing weekend. Here are some things that caught my eye this week.
Classic images of powerful women.
Photographs by Thurston Hopkins, a British photojournalist who died this week at the age of 101.
“Inside the Secret World of a Geisha.”
Design Crush’s profile of fascinating paintings by Kristin Vesgard.
A second glance at Texas Roller Derby.
A kickstarter for a zero-waste fashion label.
Destination: Delivery and the birth of a baby!
This local man is legally registered to vote, yet can’t, because of Texas’ voter ID law. That is voter fraud.
Jon Stewart interviewed Senator Wendy Davis this week.
Today is the last day to vote early in the Texas elections. Tuesday is Election Day!
More high schools are cutting short their football seasons, due to injury and lack of interest.
Have a happy Halloween and a wonderful weekend!
Your links are always so interesting. I caught the interesting Wendy Davis interview on the Daily Show this week.
I hope you guys have fun trick-or-treating! 🙂
Thank you! Have a wonderful Halloween, too!
Go Wendy go! Awesome interview, thanks for linking since I missed that!
No problem. Glad you got to see it.
That kickstarter company is great and their clothes are actually really wonderful!
The video was amazing and literally nothing goes to waste!
