Beach Vacation
We spent last week in Galveston with my family, enjoying the sights of that pretty coastal city. This trip has been in the works for months, and it was a truly relaxing and enjoyable time. The boys loved their first beach experience and had tons of fun swimming in the hotel’s pool and spending time with their cousins. Ryan and I got to relax and unplug for a little while, and that’s always a good thing. We visited the aquarium at Moody Gardens, ate delicious food, and enjoyed a quiet week with family.
We take a lot of day trips and spend the occasional weekend in a different city, but this was the first big vacation we’ve taken with the boys. It was much easier than we anticipated and we’re hoping to make it an annual event. Since we came home, we’ve been busy preparing for the beginning of school, which is in just a few weeks. This year marks a big transition in our family as James starts kindergarten and Rhys finishes his last year in preschool. Two boys, two schools, and two different schedules will be a challenge, I’m sure, but we’ll figure it out as we go.

Is that a typo? You wrote a “quiet” week with family. Hmmm…I would describe as a lovely week filled with shrieking boys and laughter. And the occasional toddler temper tantrum. 🙂
Ha! I just meant “quiet” as in not busy. 😛
Beautiful view!
It was so pretty!
Pretty view! Good luck with all the school stuff, that’s pretty exciting 😀
Thank you! It’s a big deal for us.
