This and That
Ah, this week brought much warmer weather, and the days flew by, too. Ryan and I got to see The Monuments Men and it was really good! This weekend, we’re hosting a play date and relaxing. Quiet weekends are my favorite, and hopefully I can catch up on some reading, too. Here are a few things that caught my eye this week.
Pretty floral decor, just in time for spring.
The Queen and Helen Mirren at Buckingham Palace.
Student photos from the Sony World Photography Awards.
Pictures from the fighting in Kiev, here and here.
The experiences of two brothers, both Eagle Scouts, and both gay.
A 2014 retelling of Ibsen’s A Doll’s House.
Loneliness as a disease.
And a fascinating project that records modern musicians using equipment from the 1930s.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Glad to hear Monuments Men was good – it sounded interesting.
I have to say: sadly, I never thought A Doll’s House seemed dated. What a smart idea to make a short film in response to a full production.
I don’t think The Monuments Men will win any awards or anything, but it was a solid film and an interesting story. And I definitely agree about A Doll’s House. The short film is really good.
