This and That
I can’t believe how quickly this week flew by and Christmas is just around the corner! Tonight is brew night and we’ve got a few last-minute errands to run this weekend before everything is ready to go. I’ll be back Monday and Tuesday with posts, and then I’m taking the rest of next week off. Here are a few things that caught my attention this week.
We just finished watching Alaska: The Last Frontier on Netflix, and I was surprised by how much I liked it. Here’s an article about those eccentric homesteaders.
I was relieved to learn that Brian the Dog returned last week.
An interesting piece on women and tattoos.
Bittersweet photos making the internet rounds this week.
Goodbye to Ray Price. I grew up listening to these songs: “San Antonio Rose.” “Help Me Make it Through the Night.” “For the Good Times.”
The beautifully-written, heartbreaking glimpse into the life of a homeless child in New York City. If you don’t read anything else all weekend, please read this.
Outgoing Mayor Bloomberg’s thoughts on the story.
And the thoughts of the incoming mayor.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh I’m glad you posted the new mayor’s response, I was wondering if he’d come out and said anything. I finally finished the NYT piece, and hope this mayor can stick to his word.
I know, me, too. It’s such a sad story and there must be thousands more just like her.
