ACL Festival
Austin City Limits Music Festival starts today, and while we aren’t going, I will be there in spirit! I won tickets to the first show back in 2002, and we went again the next year because it was so incredibly fun. It’s definitely grown from a small, homespun local show to an international music festival, complete with the crowds to prove it. In fact, it’s so crowded and tickets sell out SO FAST, that next year, the festival will be two weekends in a row! How crazy is that?
But this year, we are in luck. The entire weekend lineup is streaming live on YouTube, so you can watch it from the comfort of your home, without all the sand and sweat. Jack White is playing at 8:30 Saturday night, and I will be watching! I hope you’ll check it out.
As for us, we’ll be heading back to Wildseed Farms for pumpkins. And maybe a little Dairy Queen, too.
What are you doing this weekend?

Sounds like terrific fun, Catherine! Dairy Queen is never a bad option…what is your treat of choice? I personally always go for a cookie dough blizzard with extra dough…or Georgia Mud Fudge!
Love the idea of pumpkin anything this time of year…we went to a local festival last night where they lift a 1200 lb pumpkin into the air via crane, then drop it so that it smashes on the ground. Pretty incredible 🙂

We usually eat lunch there, and my boys get an ice cream after. Wow, that pumpkin drop sounds fun! My boys would love it. 🙂
